Exploring the Yucatan

If you want to get the essence of our Yucatan, this is the tour for you!
DESCRIPTION:

We offer three different tours under the Exploring the Yucatan (ETY) category. They are the same in the amenities listed below but differ in the village you will visit, its craftsmen, and distance from Merida. Each is its own unique experience. If you want to meet the craftsmen that provide many of the goods to Merida, see what small Mayan village life is all about, and are up for adventure (you could get dirty), any one of these three tours is just what you are looking for. We are a Free Trade Partner with these villages and each tour will help these villages prosper.

After visiting village craftsmen, you will enjoy a cool dip in one of the cenotes near the village, where you will receive lunch. You may even pick up a few Mayan words! (Tours are listed by the craft the village is known for) As with all our tours, each one includes round trip transportation from our office located in the Centro Colonial of La Ermita, small breakfast at our office before departure, lunch & welcome beverage at lunch location, admission fees, and a goodie bag with local Yucatecan products. We leave tipping up to you so if you think you received exceptional service from you location guides and servers, please tip them.

When visiting the village craftsmen, they will also have their wares for sale, so making a purchase is appreciated but
definitely not required.

It’s our goal here at Authentic Yucatan Tours to give our clients a chance to experience the locations we take you to, not just show them to you. We strive to make every tour you take with us “An Experience of a Lifetime”.
